How to use Split PDF into Files
- Add your PDF file. Choose a file from your device and review the workspace.
- Choose your options. Review the settings and select Convert.
- Save your result. Use the download links to save your results. Image exports can also be downloaded together as a ZIP.
Know your output.
Leave pages blank for all pages, or enter a range such as 1-3, 5. Save the selection in one PDF, one PDF per page, or groups of N pages. ZIP download includes all successful results. Encrypted PDFs are not supported. Editing invalidates digital signatures; forms and bookmarks may not be preserved.
Conversion happens locally. Refreshing or closing this tab clears the workspace; downloaded files remain on your device.
Split PDF into Files: conversion behavior
Split a PDF into separate files without uploading it. Save one file per selected page or groups of selected pages, then download the results individually or as ZIP.
Use this to distribute pages separately or split a document into smaller sections.
- Blank page selection includes all pages. Ranges such as 3, 1-2 preserve that order and remove duplicates.
- One PDF per page is the default. Group mode uses the chosen number of selected pages per file.
- At most 500 selected pages and 100 MB of results are allowed; cancel terminates the PDF worker.
- Encrypted PDFs are rejected. Splitting may invalidate signatures or lose forms and bookmarks.
Questions about Split PDF into Files
How do I download every page at once?
Wait for the job to finish, then choose Download all ZIP. Duplicate names are automatically numbered.
Does grouping use original page numbers?
It groups the selected sequence. For selection 3, 1-2 and groups of two, the first PDF contains pages 3 and 1.
