JSON integers outside the safe JavaScript range are rejected to avoid silent rounding. Quote large IDs before converting. YAML aliases and custom tags are not supported.
Conversion happens locally. Refreshing or closing this tab clears the workspace; downloaded files remain on your device.
JSON to YAML: conversion behavior
Convert valid JSON into readable YAML in your browser. Objects become mappings, arrays become sequences, and ordinary JSON types are retained.
Use it to prepare a configuration file, then validate the result with the application that will consume it.
- JSON comments, trailing commas and unquoted property names are not accepted.
- The serializer chooses YAML formatting and quoting. Existing YAML comments and layout are not available in JSON.
- Large unquoted integers outside the safe JavaScript range are rejected. Quote numeric-looking identifiers.
- Syntax conversion does not check the configuration rules of a particular application.
