How to use TSV to CSV
- Add your TSV data. Paste text or select a file from your device.
- Choose your options. Review the settings and select Convert.
- Save your result. Preview, copy, or download the output.
Know your output.
CSV values stay strings to preserve leading zeros and large IDs. Nested JSON objects use dotted column names; arrays stay JSON text. Spreadsheet-safe mode prefixes potentially executable cells.
Conversion happens locally. Refreshing or closing this tab clears the workspace; downloaded files remain on your device.
TSV to CSV: conversion behavior
Convert tab-separated rows into CSV without uploading the file. Select a comma, semicolon or pipe as the output separator.
Use it for tab-separated exports that need to enter a CSV workflow. Review the receiving application's import settings.
- Input needs actual tab characters rather than the literal text backslash-t.
- The first row is retained; no column names are invented or removed.
- Separators, quotes and line breaks are quoted when needed. Records use CRLF endings.
- UTF-8 BOM is available on download for Excel compatibility; it does not prevent numeric type inference.
