Still images only; animated images are rejected. Images are re-encoded, so metadata and color profiles may change. JPEG removes transparency and uses your selected background. Maximum 20 MB and 24 megapixels per image, 12000 pixels per side, and 100 MB total input. Width and height apply before rotation. Results may be larger than the original; quality is not a target file size.
Conversion happens locally. Refreshing or closing this tab clears the workspace; downloaded files remain on your device.
Resize Images: conversion behavior
Resize JPG, PNG and WebP images locally using pixel dimensions. Keep the aspect ratio, prevent enlargement, rotate or flip, and download the whole batch as a ZIP.
Use this to prepare a set of images for an upload form or a consistent layout.
- Leave one dimension blank to calculate it from the original aspect ratio.
- With both dimensions set and aspect ratio on, images fit inside the requested bounds.
- Enlargement is off by default. Rotation is applied after sizing, so 90° swaps the final dimensions.
- Each output is re-encoded; metadata, color profiles and file size may change.
Questions about Resize Images
Will the image be stretched?
Not while Keep aspect ratio is enabled. Turn it off and provide both dimensions for exact width and height; enable enlargement if either dimension exceeds the original.
Does resizing overwrite my original?
No. You download a new file. LocalShift does not modify the selected original.
